David Blumberg serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blumberg Grain – West Africa. In that capacity, Mr. Blumberg is responsible for marketing, operations and financial performance for Blumberg Grain projects and Manufacturing Hubs in the West Africa and Sahel markets.
Mr. Blumberg is a regular speaker on the topic of food security, including most recently, at the Nigerian Economic Summit, Corporate Council on Africa’s US-Africa Business Summit, and World Food Security Summit.
He sits on the Board of the Ghana Grains Council, and is a member of the Corporate Council on Africa, the US Chamber of Commerce, and a trustee member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Blumberg holds certifications with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Council. Regarded as an expert on environmental and green building issues, Mr. Blumberg’s work on US office buildings and the impact on that industry of proactive environmental management as required for LEED certification has been published in The Journal of Sustainable Real Estate.
Mr. Blumberg, a native of Miami, Florida is a graduate in Business with Honors from the University of North Carolina, where he received one of the University’s highest distinctions, the Order of the Golden Fleece. Mr. Blumberg now serves on the University’s Young Alumni Leadership Council.
